Questions

Does this work out my benefit?
No. It starts from the benefit at full retirement age on your Social Security statement and applies the published reductions and increases to it. Your statement is worked out from your earnings record, which this page never sees.
What does the crossing age leave out?
It counts plain dollars. Cost-of-living rises, interest on money taken earlier, tax, and a spouse or survivor who may receive a benefit based on yours are all left out, and each can move the answer.
