Add a calculator to a Google Sites site
The code is two lines of HTML. Where it goes: the Insert menu: Embed, then Embed code. The calculator is free, with no account, no script and no ads.
The steps
- Open the site in Google Sites on a computer.
- Open the Insert menu and choose Embed.
- Choose Embed code and paste the code.
- Click Next, then Insert.
- Resize the box on the page if it is too short, then click Publish.
These steps are as Google Sites: Add website content gave them on . We read them; we have not tested them on every plan. If a menu has moved since, that page is the authority.
What stops it working
Google Sites places embedded code in a box of its own, so the box's size on the page limits the calculator as well as the height in the code. Nothing shows to visitors until you publish.
- Nothing appears. The plan or the editor has removed the frame. That is the first thing to check, above.
- It is cut off. The code asks for 820 pixels of height. Raise the number, or accept that the calculator scrolls inside its box.
- The credit is missing. The second line of the code is the credit link. Paste both lines.
