Add a calculator to a WordPress site
The code is two lines of HTML. Where it goes: a Custom HTML block. The calculator is free, with no account, no script and no ads.
The steps
- Open the page or post where the calculator should appear.
- Click the block inserter, the plus sign, and search for HTML.
- Choose the Custom HTML block.
- Paste the code into the block.
- Preview the page, then update or publish it.
These steps are as WordPress.com: Custom HTML block gave them on . We read them; we have not tested them on every plan. If a menu has moved since, that page is the authority.
What stops it working
On a site hosted by WordPress.com, the help page says a frame needs a paid plan with hosting features activated; on other plans the code is removed when you save. A WordPress site you host yourself has the Custom HTML block as standard.
- Nothing appears. The plan or the editor has removed the frame. That is the first thing to check, above.
- It is cut off. The code asks for 820 pixels of height. Raise the number, or accept that the calculator scrolls inside its box.
- The credit is missing. The second line of the code is the credit link. Paste both lines.
